Whānau Pānui · Night Watch Week

English

Kia ora whānau,

This week our readers are practising r-controlled vowels (ar, or, er, ir, ur) and chunking longer words. We are following Aria and Hori as they guard the marae at night.

Ngā mihi for sharing stories from home. Your support helps fluency grow faster.

Home Challenge

Create a “Night Watch” log at home. Each evening, write or draw one observation that includes an r-controlled word (e.g., “The stars sparkle over the farm”). Bring the log to kura on Friday to share with the class.
